Leak in Puerto Rico

New Alert User (2014)

I just wanted to take a second to let you know how satisfied I am with your Alert Tank System , now that I’ve gotten used to using it.  I’ve tested using US Test and MESA quiet a bit, I’m still currently certified with  MESA . I am COMPLETELY happy with the Alert System. It’s Compact, easy to move and store. As with any system it has its delicate issues but as does any system. I’m a certified tech in a lot of different areas in the Petroleum area but testing is where I started and have currently tested almost 50 or so tanks in the last 2 months. I’ve simulated leaks with the probes in the tank to see what the reaction is, I’m able to be very confident in my results. As for the Ullage system its the best I’ve ever used. Again, it’s compact, easy to set up and is very thorough in its testing.

I can’t say enough good things about the help  I’ve gotten from Chris & Dawn!!!!! EXCEPTIONAL. Worth the trip up as well!!!

I really just want to say “thank you” to all that made my trip and equipment learning curve possible and “Painless”. In today’s age not all companies help you through the ups and downs that come with equipment purchases and learning the in’s and out’s of equipment of this nature. So Thanks Again! – Robbie Morris, CF Morris Petroleum Solutions, LLC

New Petro-tite User-Leak found during hands-on portion of the training class

Dug up the lines and found a pinhole leak at the first elbow going to first pump.  My figures said losing about .222/gal per hour.   They had used 2” single-wall FG inside 3” single wall for secondary containment and it was leaking at the containment fitting possibly from over-prepping the pipe at installation, all fixed now though.  Chris did a great job, and we also have more faith in our Petro-Tite tester.  Needless to say, I probably won’t be using the company who passed the line after he left in the future.

Thanks again for the help, and I’m sure you’ll be hearing from me more as soon as we get into testing full time. -Matt

Boot Camp Attenders

I found the UST Boot Camp to be an excellent training course, with mixture of hands on field study and informative speakers, covering details not normally covered in most classes.  Especially helpful was noting the proper placement of tank and piping sensors and ability of printing of “setup” on tank monitor, enabling determination of nearly all tank system specifications. –  Senior UST/UIC Field Inspector

Purpora Engineering conducted UST Boot Camp for the State of Washington.  The training was everything we had hoped for and was well received by our UST staff.  Both experienced staff and staff newer to the UST world learned a lot from the training. – UST & LUST Coordinator –State of  Washington

This was a great course. As a new person to this field, it reinforced the things I knew and exposed me to many more topic that will make me a better inspector. -Attendee, May 2015
